Photomosaics: framed

In college in 2008 I did a research project on photomosaics. More info can be found in another blog post. One of the mosaics I created was of Albert Einstein's eyes. It even captured the twinkle. Ever since then it has been a source of inspiration for me. This xmas I asked for it to be framed so that I could hang it in my workshop. Here it is behind my desk.

So happy right now...

Photomosaics: once upon a time...

Back in 2008 and in my senior year of college I was privileged enough to get a research project approved. This project was under the supervision of Dr. Robert S. Roos. The result of this project was a really cool image that I still want to share. Also, a paper. First, the paper:

Then, the image:

If you cannot tell, these are Einstein's eyes...

This has been an image of inspiration to me ever since it first appeared on my monitor.
