The tutorials at RepRap.org are top notch as well. It took me 20 minutes to take the Arduino out of the bag and interface with the opto endstop. Tonight really showed me the power of open source projects! Leveraging other people's work, (standing on the shoulders of giants), is so much more productive than standing alone.

RepStrap: rrrf.org is a god send...
Now that I have shown it to be possible to make the replicated parts myself I am beginning to make the electronics. I got a shipment in from RRRF today. Forty five minutes later and I had a working opto endstop! RRRF is a god send! Without these boards I would smell up my apartment with strong and expensive chemicals and I would have to find a way of disposing of them. My wife would kill me! Also, the result wouldn't be as solid!
